Béla BartókPlots(1)
In the modernised version of the ballet of Béla Bartók and Menyhért Lengyel the three tramps force the Girl to indulge in prostitution in a ramshackle building. After their robbing the old gallant and the pizza delivery boy, the rich Chinese arrives. Enraptured by the movement and the glances of the Mandarine, the Girl becomes aware of her erotic appeal and accepts the Mandarine's yearning for her, and after an ecstatic dance they unite in love. It is three times that the tramps kill the Chinese, who twice revives, and at last accepts death in embracing his love. Purified, the Girl leaves behind the dumb-struck tramps and their dirty nest.
