This witty comedic sequel to "Carmen Comes Home," set in Tokyo's Asakusa and Ginza districts, uses distinctive slanted camerawork in depicting a womanizing artist's travails in love. Carmen becomes besotted with an avant-garde artist she meets during an uproar over Akemi's baby, while a widow gets caught up in the rearmament movement and runs for office in an election. (Shochiku)
