Flowers in the Veins

In this warm and open-hearted documentary we meet the artist, humanist, bohemian, anarchist and provocateur Laurie Grundt (1923–2020) in his last year of life. After having spent 36 years in Freetown Christiania in Copenhagen, Grundt moved back to Bergen in 2010 to live out his last days in his hometown. Pensive and spirited in equal measure, Flowers in the Veins is an intimate portrait of a unique human being for whom art, politics and the big questions that have always haunted humanity were inextricably linked.
