Ubaldo, an ex-military who now works on a bank in São Paulo, heads northeast after inheriting lands from the biological father he never knew – a famous cangaceiro. When Ubaldo is taken hostage during a bank heist, he buys his way out of death by offering information for a more profitable heist.
