English Japanese Noir, still a Noir. Even despite its own particularities; for example, despite all the cynicism and pragmatism, at times it’s almost inappropriately melodramatic. Nevertheless, the story is (at first) surprising, the characters are ambiguous and it’s visually polished and beautiful in that classic "Gosha" way. ()
