Plots(1)

John Crichton (Ben Browder), astronaut, flung through a wormhole and lost in a galaxy far from home. He finds himself in the middle of a prison break, surrounded by hostile aliens, soaring through space inside a glorious living spaceship called Moya. Hunted by the relentless Peacekeepers, he allies himself with unimaginably alien fellow refugees and searches for a way home. So begins the epic sci-fi classic Farscape. A fusion of live-action, state-of-the-art puppetry, prosthetics and CGI... Farscape features amazing special effects. Edge-of-your-seat thrills, irreverent humour, unforgettable characters, and mind-boggling alien lifeforms brought to life by the creative minds of Jom Henson’s Creature Shop. No wonder it’s been called the most imaginative sci-fi series in television series. (Fabulous Films)

English Season one: It took a while before I became comfortable with the crew, but what the ending of season one gave me was a joyride. This different space brings so many unexpected things. Even though the production is slightly low-budget, it achieves its quality by devotion to the subject matter and the story. The main protagonists are pleasant, the mouthy Crichton as our connection with Mother Earth is ok and I also became fond of Aeryn Sun who plays a great Claudia Black who I have a weakness for. The cliffhanger at the end forced me to start the next season right away. Season two: An unbelievably powerful ending. It’s fine that in season two Crichton has adapted to the new environment. Overall it’s much darker and some episodes are real gourmet treats. And now quickly on to season three. This cliffhanger is literally monstrous. Season three: The best season yet in my eyes. Two Crichtons and the best season-concluding episodes yet - unbeatable. And we also found out something about Scorpius and had a good look into wormholes. A superb ride. Season four: Now that’s what I call an ending to a series! Really, a big-time ending. And even with a stylish “to be continued..." Otherwise, season four is slightly better than the one before. Redhead Sputnik is a excellent new addition to the crew, these new members of Farscape never worked well, and moreover she is outrageously foxy. Scorpius who turned into a superb anti-hero (in fact maybe one of the best series villains I have encountered) makes good choices. And if it’s true that the further it goes the better it gets, that applies two-fold here. It was a trip. ()
