Shadow of the Hawk

A forgotten Canadian horror movie that mixes elements of ghost stories, forest survival and Indian myths. It’s also surprisingly well crafted; this is no semi-amateur production. The level of naivete is high, as usual in older horror films (especially when it comes to the behaviour of the characters), but here I’m willing to overlook it because I have seen very few similar “Indian” horror movies. If that’s your case, Shadow of the Hawk has a pretty big potential for a good experience. There’s something about Indian mythology. (29/09/2013)
