1920 in a mining town in the country-side. The team of children led by Boda Ferkó fish guns and a flag of Red soldiers out of the local lake. The prize is first hidden in the dove-house of the Boda family, then they manage to hide it somewhere else again after an unsuccessful house-search. Boda's father and his two fellows are hiding in the woods from the gendarmes. Ferkó is dismissed from school because of his father, but his school-mates stand by him. The children discover a cave, and when they have made sure that the place is safe, plan to lead the fugitives there. The gendarmes almost catch them, and Opál persuades his brother to smuggle Boda and his fellows out of the town. The three men leave the town on board of a ship in secret, carrying the guns and the flag with them. (official distributor synopsis)
