English I've been struggling with this film for a long time. When I started watching Bollywood films, I couldn't handle it. It was simply too much - the phenomena of Madhuri Dixit, Salman, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya’s guest appearance, and the weird retro look caused by the overlong production. The frequency of references, the portrait of Amitabh at the center of the action... and much more. Today I appreciate the star constellation for a change (Aishwarya and Madhuri excelled together in Devdas, Aishwarya was dating Salman at the time and Shah Rukh Khan is simply King Khan). And while I'll probably never seek out 1990s Bollywood again, I'm now much more comfortable with it. ()
