Gene Hackman and Barbra Streisand star as the oddest couple ever to beat the odds in this offbeat comedy that proves a man can lose everything and still love happily ever after. On paper, it must have seemed quite cheerful, but unfortunately, the result is not convincing in any way. Nevertheless, Barbra Streisand is a category of her own, and you either love her or skip her movies. I enjoyed her as a modern Stepford wife very much, but it's a pity she was practically on her own.
