English This is probably one of the few mainstream war Western movies. On the other hand, that’s one extra reason to appreciate it. However, Villa Rides isn’t so great after all. The actors are pretty flawless, but nobody really knows how things were back then. Here, it seemed to me that the authors were adapting the story as they saw fit. In the end, I didn’t really form an opinion on Pancho Villa and Yul Brenner didn’t really convince me in this case. On the other hand, Charles Bronson puts in a classic performance of his and helps create the proper atmosphere in what seems like a pretty freeform Western. ()
