English A relaxing and quite entertaining western with a classic John Wayne and a number of unnecessary things serving only to stretch the plot, one of which is unfortunately the character of the semi-scalped Lee Marvin. With the original sound and uncut picture I would probably add one star, but because of the hideous TV dubbing (the central pair is spoken by Jiří Klem and Jiří Pomeje, try to imagine that hell) and the picture, I can't go higher. English These relatively lighthearted westerns suited John Wayne quite well, and they show that he is good in action scenes as well as in more relaxed and entertaining ones. The color suits him just as much. However, it was Lee Marvin who caught my attention in the movie; his character may not have had much screen time, but he is definitely worth it. The script and the acting are superb. ()
