A pleasant film. It’s not challenging, I liked how it mixes typical western elements with classic elements of heist films, the John Wayne and Kirk Douglas duo, Tiomkin's music… And cute humour. Three and a half stars.

When two actors sit down, it's simply fun to watch. That's exactly the case with the movie "War Wagon", where Kirk Douglas and John Wayne joined forces. The combination is truly excellent, especially in how these two were able to act. They are simply the cowboys with whom you want to experience an adventure. And that's what happened. It's entertaining and pleasantly light-hearted.
