English I didn't even want to believe it, and I was already slowly believing the odd theses that this film was only interesting in retrospect as Aishwarya and Abhishek's first on-screen encounter. Says who? Two and a Half Letters of Love is definitely the best film I've had the opportunity to see from Bollywood at the turn of the century so far. I still prefer the newest films and I return to the older ones only cautiously. However, Two and a Half Letters of Love is a film where everything I have been hesitant about so far works and I am now enjoying it to the max. The gradual thawing of the main couple's relationship is lined with outbursts of the bride's emotional family on the one hand, and on the other a heroic orphan in camouflage and with an Indian flag on his back... and yet it all works together and the mix of romance and action fits together like clockwork. The music videos are perfect in and of themselves, but they also move the plot forward perfectly. Aishwarya reigns supreme in both plain clothes and in her sari, and once again there is no one who can compete with her :) Abhishek is very cute when he's clueless. ()
