Another entry in an endless series of variations on the operetta "The Bat." This version is interesting as a demonstration that even in East Germany in the mid-1950s it was possible to make a version of the classics without any updates. This was also the return of Jarmila Kšírová to the screen after 15 years away. For the first time in color and as Rosalinde von Eisenstein! She was preceded in this role by Marte Harell (the first in color), Lída Baarová, Evelyn Laye, Betty Werner (the first in sound alongside Anna Ondráková), and Eva May.
