In search of inexpensive psychiatric treatment, three "nuts," Saxie Symbol, Joe Lynch, and Bruce Bernard, pool their limited funds and pay an unemployed actor, Tommy, to go to a leading psychiatrist, Dr. Myra Von, and act out all of their personalities. Dr. Von, after watching and listening to Tommy's antics, is convinced that he is a rare triple-personality, and she immediately sets up a secret closed-circuit telecast of their next meeting in order to share her discovery with the world's leading psychiatrists. Through an electronic error, however, Tommy's triple-personality is telecast nation-wide. A Hollywood producer, R. L. Katz, promptly buys the screen rights to their "show" for $100,000. Tommy confesses the truth to Katz but rather than being upset, he feels it improves the story even more. Tommy, now an employed actor, helps Joe and Bruce solve their problems, and he convinces Saxie that she should settle down with a good guy--like himself. (official distributor synopsis)
