Revolutionary troops under Gen. José Juan Reyes take the city of Cholula. Reyes falls in love with Beatriz, the haughty daughter of one of the richest men in town. During the time of the occupation, the general tries to sidestep the obstacles that separate him from his beloved before the imminent arrival of the federal troops.
