Just Like Heaven

I think I've discovered my new guilty pleasure. A very positive comedy that is not as ghostly as a romantic one with then still unknown talent Ruffal and beautiful Reese with puppets in the main roles. In the right mood, you can forgive a few logical lapses and just enjoy the surprisingly successful targeted heavenly shot. (07/04/2006)

An American romantic comedy that I can see maybe a hundred times a year. Predictable plot, slightly stale scenes spiced up with something a bit new, and good actors. When I have weaker moments I cry a little, other times I laugh. At the very least, this film has filled me with hope that miracles can happen. 4.5 stars. (19/10/2010)

I watched the movie again after more than a decade and it's still such a cute one-off, nothing deep, just two strangers getting closer. It was fun, almost without the usual excessively sweet pathos, plus the central couple are likeable. My partner even watched it with me without grumbling too much or making his usual stupid comments. Sickly sweet, but nicely delivered. Mark Ruffalo is simply good at playing romantic guys and Reese Witherspoon was fine as the ghost. And the sun-drenched of San Francisco is simply indescribable. (10/05/2008)

When I saw this movie some time ago on TV, it was quite fun. I enjoyed an hour and a half of easy entertainment, which is not as clever as it may seem at first glance. Thanks to the performances, it is quite tolerable and in addition, there is a good connection between humor and romance. Yes, towards the end it becomes overly sweet, but along the way, you will really laugh here and there. I appreciate this. (28/02/2014)

It is a ghostly romantic comedy that is unfortunately terribly predictable, but fortunately offers quite a lot of humor and funny situations. At least I had a great time most of the time. I also liked the casting of Reese Witherspoon and Mark Ruffalo in the lead roles. The chemistry between them was awesome. (70%) (15/08/2022)
