In the year 1980 Earth is under threat by an alien race who facing extinction kidnap humans and harvest them for body parts. SHADO, a highly secret military organisation is tasked with protecting the Earth from this alien threat. Operating from a secret facility beneath a movie studio in England, Commander Ed Straker and his team work to defend the Earth against the alien menace, learn the secrets of their race and technology and all whist keeping the wider public blissfully unaware of the the threat they face.
