English Unless you expect a horror gem, it shouldn’t disappoint you. Rather than terrifying, the ghosts look mysterious, the heroine is pretty likeable, the main twist is not surprising (it’s been used in many other films), but it does the job. If only I wasn’t sick and tired of the exhausted premise “after coming across the instrument of a curse, the heroine sets out on a journey to either find its maker or to destroy it” I would be more satisfied. English I can see why I hardly watch horror movies at all. You see one after a long time and it irritates you the entire time. One Missed Call = absurdity, a mistake. Beware: you may be even more traumatized by it than the main character, the main sub-heroine, and the blonde mini-heroine were. I don't think we'll grow any fonder of this film... ()

English So it's gonna be such a mess, I really didn't expect that. The Japanese film seemed creepy enough, even though it was clear that there was a significant inspiration from "Ring", but the American remake is just plain stealing from "The Ring", probably trying to claim that if it worked once, it will work a second time with different actors. It doesn't work. ()
