English I don’t think it was that good, quite the opposite in fact. I don’t generally mind a blend of comedy and horror, but this is nothing but a weird product incapable of satisfying my demands for either horror or comedy. The prologue set in the war was perhaps the most atmospheric part of the entire film (which doesn’t mean it was satisfactory), and things only go downhill from there. The ending is abrupt, probably they ran out of money and they cut the story short without mercy. Maybe for the better, I don’t think I would have liked to watch another half hour. It can’t be compared with 30 Days of Night. ()

English “Why are you always in the house?" “I live here." A perfect, atmospheric prolog which is the premature climax of the picture. Vampires living in the never-ending darkness beyond the arctic circle; any similarity with 30 Days of Night is “purely coincidental". But don’t worry, it just sounds similar; each of these vampire movies takes its own path. Which however doesn’t stop Frostbiten from having basically the same pluses and, unfortunately, the same minuses as 30. It gives us a lot for very little, a great atmosphere of the snowy and freezing night and likeable actors. On the other hand, the subject matter promised much more than they were able to offer in the end. And it jumps about too much and in many areas it seems unfinished - like it was just one of the best episodes of Buffy. But despite everything, this is on a higher level than its younger American brother. Why? Because Frostbiten contains one element that helps it to work even at its weaker and more tired moments. Very cleverly, there is a constant hint of parody in the background. Nothing to make you laugh out loud, but at very least the corners of your mouth will be turned up in an indelible smile. ()

English The horror film "Frostbite" could fit perfectly alongside the movie "Let the Right One In" and still be different, but that didn't quite succeed. It's good, it's well-made, but the hopeless atmosphere that suits it so well is somewhat lost. However, it's modern, it's sufficiently action-packed, and in a sense, it's original. Nevertheless, it remains a film that will deter many viewers because of its humor. ()
