Plots(1)

Martin Ward (Colm Feore) and David Bouchard (Patrick Huard) could not be more different: one speaks English and is from Toronto; the other speaks French and is from Montreal. One obeys the law while the other makes his own. When a dead body is found draped over the border sign dividing Ontario and Quebec, they are forced to work together on the investigation and engage in a violent cat-and-mouse game with a deranged serial killer who is determined to keep the body count mounting. English I saw the second film first, which I liked as a comedy, but Bon Cop, Bad Cop is even better in that it works a little better as a fairly dark whodunit, where the main characters can still be funny, but it's not at the expense of a suspenseful and at times quite gritty investigation. The first film is also sexier. ()

English Great one-liners and good actors in a hockey murder mystery from Canada. It’s another variation on Lethal Weapon, but it can still surprise. This is a film with heart, something you don’t see much these days. ()

English The specific features of buddy action movies are a charismatic duo of detectives, funny jokes and original action. This movie doesn’t have any of the above. At some moments I felt I was watching a worse version of Alarm for Cobra 11 – The Highway Police. The “action-packed” ending only confirmed my impression. ()
