In the sequel Gremlins 2 - The New Batch Gizmo is in danger of dissection by the fiendish Dr Catheter (Christopher Lee), who works at Clamp Enterprises for eccentric billionaire Daniel Clamp (John Glover). I had the movie "Gremlins 2" fixed as a comedy, and that is its crucial definition. It is a comedy and primarily functions as such. There are scenes that are really funny and that I remember even after years. The critique of giant corporations is presented here nicely, amusingly, and exaggeratedly. It is a different film than the first one, but that doesn't mean it is not funny. It simply is entertaining.
