English It would be fairer and more objective to give it two stars because technically it is a case of decent filmmaking that avoids trashy motifs and the typical vulgarity of some horror productions. I didn't mind that the cover misleads and lures with a bloody spectacle that ultimately hardly happens, and I am giving it one star less due to my aversion to Asian productions. However, I reproach the film for a certain weariness, for using the ghost motif seen many times before, for overexplaining, and above all for the point that stems from Buddhist cultural tradition that misses the mark for me. Overall impression: 25%. The use of a child in the horror genre appealed to me much more, for example, in the legendary film The Omen. Although I acknowledge that the crying of a child, which could be heard for the majority of the film, may evoke genuine horror in expectant parents. :-) ()

English The movie "Pain" definitely shows that Thai cinematography has a lot to offer, it just needs to be given space and the opportunity to present itself. Some experiences from Thai films are definitely worth it and you truly feel most of the time that you are watching a horror movie and not something pretending to be one. Depression falls on you from the beginning to the end, which is one thing that I really like about Thai horror movies. ()
