At a high-school in a Russian town the math teacher, who lives alone with her child, hits a stuttering boy in her helpless anger. Although they do not like the boy, the leaders of the class start to punish her systematically. She is suffering from both professional and private failures, when they start sending her anonymous letters, slander her, make scandals around her and finally take her son hostage. Is it the new people, teachers and students deluded by the regime, taking revenge on each other? Finally the cruelties are exhausted and the kids leave the boy in the street with a tablet in his neck: Homo Novus. (official distributor synopsis)
