Plots(1)

Ágnes, the business manager of a hospital, raises her daughter, who suffers from leukemia, on her own, while the girl's condition is getting worse all the time. According to Kamondi, the reknowned surgeon of the hospital, only an immediate, bone-marrow transplantation could rescue her, and he blackmails the woman: the hospital should buy a terribly expensive X-ray device, the supplier of which is his wife. A donor must be found. Neither Ágnes nor her divorced husband is suitable. In ultimate distress the mother looks up her younger brother András, who has returned from Germany as a wrecked alcoholic. His ex-love helps persuade him. Doctor Sipos, who is looking forward to a surgeon's job in Malmö, helps improve his condition, and thus Kamondi is forced to operate on the girl. The operation is successful, and, maybe, it is András who is the happiest of all. (HungariCom)
