Guernica

Kovács Margit's job is to lift bricks off the assembly line all day long. Thanks to her boyfriend, she now lives in a flat of her own, albeit one without a bath. The words of a sculptor she sees on television make her realise, all of a sudden, that her life is empty and without aspirations. She turns to the sculptor for help. He is working on an outdoor assignment up on a cliff. Following the man's advice she goes on a trip to Spain to see Picasso's Gurenica for herself, hoping the picture would eventually relieve her of the fix she is in. When she returns from the adventurous trip, she finds things unchanged except for Viktor's attitude, which has by now become one characterised by his determination to possess her anew, thinking he has too much to lose, having made so much effort during their relationship to get things going.
