Bryan Fuller (the creator of Wonderfalls and Dead Like Me) is back with original and quirky Pushing Daisies. This forensic fairytale follows Ned (Lee Pace), a young man with a very special gift. As a boy, Ned discovered that he could return the dead briefly back to life with just one touch. Now a pie maker, Ned puts his ability to good use, not only touching dead fruit and making it ripe with everlasting flavour, but working with a private investigator to crack murder cases by raising the dead and getting them to name their killers. But the tale gets complicated when Ned brings his childhood sweetheart (Anna Friel), Chuck, back from the dead - and keeps her alive. Chuck becomes the third partner in Ned and Emerson's private-investigation enterprise, encouraging them to use Ned's skills for good, not just for profit. Life would be perfect for Ned and Chuck, except for one cruel twist: if he ever touches her again, she'll go back to being dead, this time for good. (Warner Bros. Home Entertainment)

English I think that I watch quite a large number of series, or at least I used to watch them. There are quite a few that really caught my interest, others that I mostly endured, but then there are absolute heart matters (and there are plenty of them) that have deeply ingrained in my head and into that organ that mainly keeps me alive. "Pushing Daisies" (similarly to the series "Supernatural", I don't want to use the Czech name because it's weird) is exactly such a series that made a lasting impression on me. English This series, which was fatefully affected by the writers' strike, is a true combination of Tim Burton and Ed Wood. Essentially, it amounts to a series of stand-alone detective stories refreshed with an original "method." The presence of the narrator is nice, as is the gradual mapping of the main characters' pasts. ()

English I've grown rather fond of Pushing Daisies. I kind of like the brightly colored atmosphere and the enjoyable narration. You can see that the stylists have worked their asses off as well. The series presents murders conceived in a new and quite original style. The cast is also above average, so I see the series as a great diversion. Favorite characters: Olive ()
