Leonard and Sheldon are brilliant physicists - geniuses in the laboratory, but socially challenged everywhere else. Enter their beautiful, street-smart neighbor, Penny, who aims to teach them a thing or two about life. Despite their on-again, off-again relationship in the past, Leonard believes he's found true love with Penny and they have finally gotten engaged. Even Sheldon has found a female companion, entering into a "Relationship Agreement" with neurobiologist Amy Farrah Fowler. In their free time, Leonard and Sheldon continue to enjoy frequent trips to the comic book store and fantasy role-playing games with their ever-expanding universe of friends, including fellow scientists Koothrappali, Wolowitz and Wolowitz's adorable microbiologist wife, Bernadette. Season 8 wasn't good, and I wasn't expecting anything better after my experience with the previous one. It’s the first season in which I didn't award a single five-star rating to any of the episodes. It’s true that it could have been worse, though. After the first half, the season was ready to throw in the towel, but it unexpectedly pulled itself together in the second half and scraped together three stars. It’s painful to watch a show that used to make me laugh out loud struggle forward like a leper whose disease has progressed so far that he's leaving bits of himself behind. I'm sorry the creators couldn't find it in themselves to end it all with dignity two seasons ago. / Lesson learned: Pride is pride, but money is money. ()
Season 8 So the only interesting thing about the whole season is that Penny cut her hair? What could that mean? Routine? No, that was the last few seasons. This is a crisis that not even Nathan Fillion or the dating Raj can chase away. ()
