English I can't help but feel somewhat disappointed. I was expecting a powerful film about what racism really is, and how it manifests through the KKK, but this is just a story that hints at it being potentially intense. It’s not. I expected a lot more from Terence Young with Lee Marvin and Richard Burton. ()

English It’s a bit weak compared to Mississippi Burning, but still a very good KKK thriller drama with excellent actors and a chillingly realistic atmosphere. One of Lee Marvin's best roles and another of Richard Burton's great roles. ()
