Deep in the heart of the African jungle, a baby named George, the sole survivor of a plane crash, is raised by gorillas. George grows up to be a buff and lovable klutz (Brendan Fraser) who has a rain forest full of animal friends -- like Tookie, his big-beaked messenger, Ape, a talking gorilla who's smarter than your average rocket scientist, and Shep, a gray-haired peanut-loving pooch of an elephant! I don't understand how anyone can consider this great comedy a mediocre slapstick for little kids. I had a great time, I enjoyed Brendan Fraser in his tried-and-true goofy self and the story full of crazy gags drew me in in a way that no low-budget film has done in a long time. If that means I still haven't grown up, so be it, I'd rather lose a bit of my judgment than deprive myself of the experience of this excellent movie:-) P.S: The theme music is awesome!!
