Season 2 provides us with a new plot and excellent back channels. By this time, Sookie is Bill's full partner and helper in solving supernatural problems. Their relationship and the story culminate in the most exquisite proposal I've ever seen in a series. The vampire underworld also plays out wonderfully and we meet their queen.
