English The story itself about the punishment of greed and injustice is compelling, but a simple anecdote that would be enough for a 20-minute TV miniature is stretched out here to the runtime of a feature film, and naturally, with outdated music and the pace of the First Republic era. Despite the decent cast and funny point, I can't give more. Overall impression: 45%. ()

English The fact that it has been cut short is unfortunately really noticeable in the film. The nice mood, which made me watch it from the beginning to the end with a smile, stamping my feet to the rhythm and almost singing the simple folk choruses, fortunately did not suffer. Radok's direction is extremely lively, the camera finds interesting angles and is rarely still, and Sternwald's catchy score is certainly more than worthy of mention. In addition, The Magical Hat brought together a number of great actors, but few of them got as much space as they deserved (which is probably the main consequence of the shortening). ()
