English Strangely enough, this vulgar comedy full of toilet humor is not that stupid. It is in fact quite inventive and contains many an unforgettable WTF moment (the squirrel in the stadium?!). ()

English Thanks to the cast, this film is quite bearable, although most of the humor consists dealing with second-hand ideas of "time travel" and, of course, the use of body fluids of all kinds. I didn't truly laugh even once, but on the other hand, I never felt utterly awkward. Perhaps I only ground my teeth over the current notion of the 1980s as a time when metalheads and punks wore ironed creases. Uncritical trends of nostalgia are a terrible thing. ()

English So this is a total guilty pleasure. 1986 is one of my favorite years, um... for many reasons, and this trip back in time had me giggling the whole time. All it takes are three washed up adults and a fat Stargate fan to hop in the hot tub and the ride of the year can begin. Walkmen, Miami Vice T-shirts, Mötley Crüe, time travel, it's all here. HTTM isn't exactly perfect, and sometimes you find yourself wondering whether this or that should have been there, but in the end there is a feeling of satisfaction and a desire to watch it again. Oh, I'm talking about the unrated version, come to think of it, the rated version that went to cinemas must have been pretty lame. Damn it, now I get why it was panned! ()

English It is a quite entertaining and, above all, clever comedy that plays quite well with the chosen material. Although I initially thought that the characters were unpleasant and nothing would come of them, in the end, I quite liked them and enjoyed the film. Considering it is an American comedy, it is very good. ()
