English A slightly treacherous anime that didn't grow on me. It can be attributed to the overly dramatic dialogues, relative repetitiveness, but above all, the whiny and unbearable Himeko. Whether in relation to Souma or the dreamy Chikane, she always finds a reason for tragedy or self-pity, which becomes tiresome very quickly, and if it wasn't for a few clever plot twists, she would be the reason to completely reject Kannazuki. However, the remaining two main characters, the ambiguous beauty and the characterful warrior - and ultimately the diverse Orochi - are the reason why I shouldn't give up watching and wait for an impressive finale. Like any anime ending, it brings forth sincere emotions and despite many reservations, it was all worth it thanks to the final punchline. ()
