Jack Black is larger than life in this epic comedy-adventure based on the classic tale. When a shipwreck lands a lowly mailroom clerk named Gulliver (Black) on the fantastical island of Lilliput, he transforms into a giant - in size and ego! Gulliver's tall tales and heroic deeds win the hearts of the tiny Lilliputians, but when he loses his way and puts his newfound friends in peril, Gulliver must find a way to undo the damage. Through it all, Gulliver may just learn that it's how big you are on the inside that counts. (20th Century Fox UK)

English More bearable than I expected, I even chuckled a couple of times, but not enough to recommend it – even slightly. ()

English I was soooo looking forward to this movie! And to be honest, I was quite disappointed. Just the shortness of it suggests it was phoned in. An absolute appetizer and nothing more. It's a shame, because Jack Black really is a riot... ()

English Occasionally, I find that the movie I'm watching is so incredibly stupid and repulsive to the point of festering that I don't care not only what happens in it and how it ends, but whether I even make it to the end. I couldn't do it with Gulliver's Travels. After half an hour I fell asleep in a rather awkward position, then I woke up during the end credits... And I didn't mind at all. ()

English That was not nice. Jack Black is so extremely predictable in comedies that it's not pretty. He has nothing to offer in them, and the stupid script, where a romantic story had to be, even though it's perfectly unnecessary, doesn't add anything at all. A couple of fine actors who probably enjoyed the filming but didn't convey any of it to the audience. ()
