James Mason is more or less a guarantee of quality for me in any case, and he did not disappoint me in this film either, which is also beautifully fantasy, thanks mainly to the excellent source material, but also to the execution. These are the old effects that I simply love, and the work with the lizards was successful. They look wonderfully believable as giant lizards. Naive and yet beautiful.
