Five teenage friends including rookie pilot Sara (Jessica Lowndes) rent a small plane for a weekend getaway. But shortly into the flight, something suddenly goes wrong. Awful disappointment. That’s what you get when creators promise a Lovecraftian octopus but instead only deliver a bunch of insufferable kids. Monsters also failed to fulfil its promise, but at least it had an atmosphere and you could pay attention to the “alternative” elements of that monster film. Altitude has nothing other than a stupidly funny climax that arrives so late that it doesn’t even make you laugh, and with the last of your strength you turn the film off and go into a coma. Avoid this, really.
