The film follows Uli and Vanilka, a married couple on the verge of divorce. When Vanilka’s aunt from Liverpool promises her a million pounds for her unborn child, the couple rethink their separation. This is a successful adaptation of the legendary 1960s Czech jazz opera from Jiří Suchý and Jiří Šlitr. (Zurich Film Festival)
