Pierce gets his inheritance from his dead father and learns that he has secretly been working on a videogame that when you win it unlocks his full inheritance. He and the group go to play the game and help win him his inheritance, but are thwarted by his father’s old assistant Gilbert who is a master at the game and wants the inheritance for himself. The group unites to take down Gilbert, but he’s too powerful. Gilbert ends up getting to the final level only to have Pierce’s father tell him he’s not worthy. We discover that Gilbert is Pierce’s half brother and the group helps him finally win the inheritance. Abed falls in love with video game character inside the game. (iTunes)

I couldn't rate it differently because similar games played a significant role in forming my positive relationship with video games, which has lasted until now and has never turned into an addiction (at least not long-term). Unlike the claymation episode, this pixelated one thoroughly entertained me, and Abed's control over the made-up world was perfect. / Lesson learned: Childhood experiences can come in handy at unexpected moments in life.
