Fero Fenič’s fiction auteur debut tells the simple story of an ordinary girl from the country with only the vaguest idea of the future and a single, straightforward goal: find a boy, get married and start a family. Along with debut cinematographer Jaroslav Brabec, Fenič makes pithy observations on everyday situations from an everyday life. (Art Film Fest)

English An unconvincing attempt to return to the film aesthetics of the 60s and the Czech New Wave, where the difference between the scriptwriting skills and filmmaking talent of Fero Fenič and his older generation of role models, especially Miloš Forman, is truly painful. Overall impression: 35%. ()
