English Obviously, the second episode draws the lines much faster than the first. Everything about the king and Kings Landing is a riveting, looming battle of nations about to begin. The introduction of new players to the game is pleasingly brief, but probably absolutely crucial for future episodes. ()

English The first episode of the second season opens with a death in battle followed by wineboarding, from which it is clear that the second season probably won't be a walk in the park. Stannis Baratheon and his cohorts also made an interesting introduction, while the storyline of Daenerys and the remnants of Drogo's khalasar seems to be somewhat stagnant, but the episode as a whole worked excellently.
