Plots(1)
In the midst of the Depression, socialite Irene Bullock (Carole Lombard) happens across derelict Godfrey (William Powell) at a city dump. She hires him to be the family servant to the Bullock's, the epitome of the idle rich, but soon Irene falls in love with Godfrey. Unfortunately for her, Godfrey believes a romance between a servant and his employer is out of place, irrespective of the hidden past of the servant. (Elstree Hill Entertainment)
