English It rode in on the charm of the original film and lost all of its own charm. Forget the acting performances of Michelle, Susan, Cher, and Jack, and the poised perfection of an ageless film. But if you are interested in a straightforward, ironic variation that wants to give you a few more minutes with your favorite witches of Eastwick, there's no need to dismiss it out of hand. Series that favor interesting women are slowly but surely becoming a scarce commodity. Beyond that, it's quite interesting to see Jack Huston or Darren Criss in completely different roles than the ones that made them famous. All in all, the new Eastwick deserves at least a second season. ()
