Plots(1)

The Walking Dead follows a group of survivors who travel in search of a safe and secure home during the zombie apocalypse. The series explores the challenges of life in a world overrun by walkers who take a toll on the survivors, and sometimes the interpersonal conflicts present a greater danger to their continuing survival than the zombies that roam the country. Over time, the characters are changed by the constant exposure to death, and some grow willing to do anything to survive. (Entertainment One)

Sick (2012) (S03E02)

English Another successful episode, compared to the previous one, the plot is not as engaging, but I enjoyed it and there was no boredom at all. Unlike other series, I don't mind the constantly appearing new characters here, because the group is traveling and it can be expected that they will occasionally encounter someone new. ()

Walk with Me (2012) (S03E03)

English Life, life!! Things are happening! The dead are turning into undead, presumed dead are returning among the living (not saying all of them), the Governor with his own militia has joined in and it looks like the story will gain a new momentum. Or a noose. ()

Killer Within (2012) (S03E04)

English I saw another very high-quality episode again, the third season seems more successful to me than the second season so far, there is action and, most importantly, the plot is developing. In the second season, there was too much discussion and the story didn't move from the spot for a long time. ()

Say the Word (2012) (S03E05)

English After the thrilling previous episode, the situation calmed down slightly, only Rick was strangely restless that evening, following the example of old Brůna, he took an axe and went for a walk. I was just sorry that I didn't get to see any well. ()

Hounded (2012) (S03E06)

English The story is still interesting enough, so I enjoy it, even though Rick has calmed down quite a bit after the previous trip to Enlightenment and the Well, and it wasn't as intense with him anymore. Fortunately, Michonne and Merle took over for him, and there was something to watch again. ()

When the Dead Come Knocking (2012) (S03E07)

English Great episode with a quality plot, plenty of action, tension, and an atmosphere that feels like it was borrowed from Lubljana. However, even in this gloomy passage, there was room for a happy ending to one story because Lassie came back home! ()

Made to Suffer (2012) (S03E08)

English The eighth episode was clearly one of the most action-packed episodes in the entire series. There was always something happening, people were using even downright primitive tools to eliminate others, especially Glenn reminded everyone involved of the tools commonly used in primitive communal societies. Truly an entertaining spectacle. ()

Home (2013) (S03E10)

English The tenth episode was in my opinion the weakest so far of the entire third series, and only an interesting ending prevented me from giving it just three stars. For most of the episode, the plot didn't develop in any way, there was too much philosophizing again, and I personally didn't enjoy Rick's "sponge" states. 4* ()

I Ain't a Judas (2013) (S03E11)

English The eleventh episode was quite unremarkable, but at least it was relevant. The situation around Andrei's temporary return to the group amused me, when everyone was discussing the dilemma: "We really like you, but we would be afraid to fall asleep next to you." I hesitated whether to rate it with 3*+ or 4*-, but in the end, I rounded up. ()

This Sorrowful Life (2013) (S03E15)

English The episode discusses in an interesting way how far it is possible to bend the rules and still consider them moral actions. Most of the conflicts in this episode take place within individual characters and without the use of weapons, yet the plot is sufficiently interesting with a quality atmosphere. Merl's musical taste pleased me, I can dig Motörhead. ()

Welcome to the Tombs (2013) (S03E16)

English I was looking forward to the final episode of the season, the story was building up towards a clear climax in the last three episodes, but I was unpleasantly surprised. People who can normally shoot a squirrel in the eye from a hundred meters away missed a lot this time and the only successful shooter still faced criticism. Another disappointment came at the very end, the moving of the retirement home was touching, but it didn't appeal to me. ()

Season 4 (2013) (S04)

English Despite some major flaws in the second half, Season 4 was much better than Season 2, with more action and plot development and less aimless philosophizing. The second half, unfortunately, featured many pointless attempts at psychological analyses of the characters, the story was stalling, and the episodes served no other purpose than to artificially stretch out the plot. It was a shame given the decent episodes 1-8. ()

30 Days Without an Accident (2013) (S04E01)

English The start of the fourth season seemed a bit slower to me after the previous one, but what scares me the most is that it started to smell like a farm again. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the countryside, I'm just afraid that the show's creators will return to those lengthy discussions about nothing like in the second season. If that doesn't happen, I'll just be glad. ()

Indifference (2013) (S04E04)

English The fourth episode is not particularly action-packed, but the plot has successfully moved forward, certain matters have been clarified, and certain decisions have been made, so I am satisfied, especially because there was no artificial prolonging of the story. ()

Dead Weight (2013) (S04E07)

English Another episode that deals with the Governor, but this time I had to raise the rating to two stars because this episode was relevant to the whole story and it didn't feel like just necessary filler. I don't know, I don't know if Rick will reap what he sows, the Governor has a tank and it will surely plow through the flower beds... ()

Too Far Gone (2013) (S04E08)

English The eighth episode had a lot of juice, it was full of action, it didn't spare any dramatic moments, and it certainly squeezed out a tear or two from a more sensitive viewer. The driving force of the episode is the uncompromising Governor, who now even owns a tank and doesn't hesitate to use it, which results in a lot of entertaining situations. ()

After (2014) (S04E09)

English After the previous episode, the ninth part was a major disappointment for me because it was largely a psychological-philosophical exploration into the mind of a teenage chasnik. The plot of the series only serves as background for this cerebral whirl. ()

Inmates (2014) (S04E10)

English I know that I have praised the fourth season of the series several times, but the ninth and now even the tenth episode definitely did not impress me. There have been some unsuccessful trips into the thoughts of certain characters, the meaningful plot has decreased, and the pace of the story has noticeably declined. ()

Still (2014) (S04E12)

English The twelfth episode didn't just seem unnecessary and boring to me, it was downright annoying. Occasionally, a zombie popping out of a dark corner, I would think that I am watching a TV show for teenage girls, discussing how to cope with their adolescence. This was really poorly done. ()

Alone (2014) (S04E13)

English Although the thirteenth episode was much better than the twelfth episode, I can't conscientiously give it more than three stars. Dealing with the separate fates of different groups can be done, but I really dislike the dysfunctional psychological probes into the thoughts of individual characters, which only artificially prolong the plot and do not benefit the story. Perhaps everything would work if the creators had chosen a happier approach... ()
