Plots(1)

The Walking Dead follows a group of survivors who travel in search of a safe and secure home during the zombie apocalypse. The series explores the challenges of life in a world overrun by walkers who take a toll on the survivors, and sometimes the interpersonal conflicts present a greater danger to their continuing survival than the zombies that roam the country. Over time, the characters are changed by the constant exposure to death, and some grow willing to do anything to survive. (Entertainment One)

Reviews of this series by the user Necrotongue (108)

A (2014) (S04E16)

English The conclusion of the series brought excellent action, the plot moved forward again, only Carol and Tyreese didn't fit in here, and the predictable ending disappointed me. I don't know if the creators managed to surprise anyone with the resolution of the entire series, I expected a similar ending since the first message with the map. ()

Season 5 (2014) (S05)

English Season 5 wasn't bad, I'm just annoyed by certain issues that appear in every season: episodes that serve no purpose other than to stretch out the plot, nonfunctional psychoanalyzing, or straight-up moralizing. What I liked in both Season 4 and Season 5 was the group around Sergeant Ford. Those three were great. It was clear that things would get tense in Terminus, but I didn’t expect their diet to be so unpalatable. The excellently handled season finale got me excited for Season 6. ()

No Sanctuary (2014) (S05E01)

English I see that the fifth season has started excellently, I'm just afraid of possible disappointment that happened to me in the fourth season after the eighth episode. If the series maintains the same standard as its first episode, it would be excellent. In any case, a very entertaining episode that will particularly appeal to romantic butchers. ()

Strangers (2014) (S05E02)

English Compared to the previous episode, the plot was slightly weaker, but still decent. It is true that I wouldn't rescue any priests, I would rather help those vultures up on the rock, because I would be curious to see if the Almighty really takes care of his sheep. Personally, I would bet on the zombies. ()

Four Walls and a Roof (2014) (S05E03)

English So, it was good, I especially liked the overall, highly optimistic atmosphere that permeates the whole episode, and I also grew fond of moments when Rick really gets angry. There was even a machete with a red handle and Michonne met her katana again, which is cool, I missed that skilled movement of hers, with which she removes blood, brains, and other stuff from the blade. ()

Slabtown (2014) (S05E04)

English And here it is, another one of those unnecessary episodes that don't really affect the main story and are only used in the series to introduce new characters. If Beth gets a few more scars, they can make a Bride of Frankenstein with her. ()

Self Help (2014) (S05E05)

English Bull didn't disappoint me again and was the clear standout of the episode. I was greatly amused by the moment near the end of the episode when time almost stood still, just one sentence was enough to completely change people's priorities, if they even had any left. Regardless, Sergeant was definitely the best. ()

Consumed (2014) (S05E06)

English It could have been a similarly boring affair as the twelfth episode of the fourth season, but instead of Beth, the character Carol appears here, and suddenly everything became much more interesting. This time I was not bored nor annoyed. ()

Crossed (2014) (S05E07)

English Rick's group is using all available means to turn Gabriel's church into a fortress. Daryl returns to Atlanta with reinforcements in an attempt to save Carol and Beth. In the city, Rick presents his plan to the others, but Tyreese steps forward with his proposal, which is supported by Daryl. The situation within the sergeant's squad can currently be evaluated as unfavorable, as the group is running out of drinking water and Eugene is still unconscious. The sergeant is oscillating between indifference and rage. Meanwhile, Tyreese's plan is set in motion in Atlanta and everything seems to be going smoothly, but... ()

Coda (2014) (S05E08)

English I can't rate the eighth episode in any other way than positively, it wasn't a disappointment at all, all the actions were beneficial to the story, I also appreciate the nicely intense ending with the exchange of ivory for ebony, unfortunately, my suspicion was confirmed that they should have let that incredibly annoying flanďák be eaten. ()

What Happened and What's Going On (2014) (S05E09)

English It is possible that I would rate the episode better, but for my taste, there is too much moralizing in it and I dislike the hallucinatory passages, which are used too often in movies and games. All the moralizing and pathos used in this episode were also too superficial to convince me. ()

Them (2014) (S05E10)

English I have encountered another "cotton" episode, everyone is still moving, but they are moving slower, and just when it seems like they won't be able to continue, they start moving again. In moments when they rest, they mostly engage in boring and unnecessary conversations. Boredom, boredom, dullness, dullness. ()

The Distance (2014) (S05E11)

English After the terribly boring previous episode, I was pleasantly surprised by this one. The episode was sufficiently action-packed, dynamic, and entertaining, so I enjoyed it without getting bored or falling asleep. Additionally, I found the battle against the pervasive paranoia amusing. ()

Remember (2014) (S05E12)

English Truth be told, the episode is not one of the best, but it has an excellent, paranoia-infused atmosphere that balances the situation perfectly. The kind senator seems fake to me, like a sixty-crown note, so it's no wonder that some can't sleep peacefully. And on top of that, there's Aiden, who would be great as a target for practice. ()

Forget (2014) (S05E13)

English The atmosphere is still dense, paranoia persists, Sash's reaction at the welcome celebration amused me greatly, and especially Carolina's method of keeping a secret. Rawly perfect! On top of everything, Rick's calves are starting to catch fire... ()

Spend (2015) (S05E14)

English The fourteenth episode was very eventful, while some matters are revealed, others are entangled, there are further losses, and as I expected, Flanđák is the ultimate scumbag. Noah's ending was truly colorful. ()

Try (2015) (S05E15)

English The fifteenth episode was thoroughly brisk, but what bothered me in this one, as well as in the whole series, was another psychological window, this time handled by Sasha. I'm really annoyed by how almost every episode takes at least fifteen minutes for some character's intense internal struggle with their own psyche. Sure, I understand that the world has gone to places where the sun doesn't shine, but after five seasons, we all got it, and if it can't be done without the inner battle, maybe five minutes per episode would be enough. ()

Conquer (2015) (S05E16)

English I liked the final episode of the fifth season for several reasons. Morgan returned, because of whom the twelfth episode of the third season was filmed. The biggest loser of the whole community is undoubtedly a flanďák, which personally makes me extremely happy, thanks to my absolute resistance to religious fanatics of any denomination, and I can look forward to the sixth series because the ending left several storylines open. ()

Season 6 (2015) (S06)

English The sixth season was the biggest disappointment so far. The undead may be visually perfect, but they have also become the most boring component of the series as they have nothing to offer besides shuffling, biting, and grunting. Hostile groups of the living could have put a fresh spin on things if it hadn’t been for the total disregard for logic and common sense in general. Plus, the series seems to be trying to put Zen Buddhism or the hippie philosophy into practice, so I can’t wait for Morgan to start sticking flowers into gun barrels. Clearly, the basic theme has been pretty much exhausted, and I wouldn't mind if season seven was the final one. ()

First Time Again (2015) (S06E01)

English The first episode of the sixth season made quite a good impression on me, the plot was interesting, the intertwining of the old and the new was pleasantly seamless, and the atmosphere was enhanced by the persisting mistrust of the Grady. Only the attitude of some extras disgusted me, who disregarded their undead role and wandered around as if they were taking a walk. On the other hand, other colleagues really immersed themselves in their roles, and I wonder if they had any difficulties returning to their normal lives. ()
