Plots(1)

The Walking Dead follows a group of survivors who travel in search of a safe and secure home during the zombie apocalypse. The series explores the challenges of life in a world overrun by walkers who take a toll on the survivors, and sometimes the interpersonal conflicts present a greater danger to their continuing survival than the zombies that roam the country. Over time, the characters are changed by the constant exposure to death, and some grow willing to do anything to survive. (Entertainment One)

Honor (2018) (S08E09)

English Another nail in the coffin of a once great series, oh well. Last time I added a star for the finale with Carl, but I can't do that anymore. Although the result pleased me, I had to endure a lot of artificially stretched plot, emotional blackmail, and the usual unbearable chatter to get to it. Additionally, the hat remains in the game! ()

The Lost and the Plunderers (2018) (S08E10)

English The opening scene, with the rescue of the gazebo, proudly walked towards the waste, but later the situation somewhat stabilized. After Carl's death, another character, who behaves dementedly most of the time and frequently watches me with bloodshot eyes, could also perish. Unfortunately, it is clear to me that Rick will be here longer than me, but in a few months it will be Christmas, and if I want it so much... What? ()

Dead or Alive Or (2018) (S08E11)

English The plot of the eleventh episode could be a definition of boredom. I could choose from several storylines, but apart from one, all of them consisted of uninteresting walks in the forest. Gabriel tried to make these unfortunate moments more enjoyable with his usual theological-philosophical window, but as always, he failed. Two moments truly caught my attention. The first one was Maggie's happy smile when another large group of survivors arrived at Hilltop with dwindling supplies, and the second was a glimpse of Daryl's group, which had just gone through a swamp but looked like they had managed to stop at a dry cleaner along the way. ()

The Key (2018) (S08E12)

English The only thing that at least somewhat saved the twelfth episode for me was Simon's politicking, otherwise it was another terrible farce. Negan quickly dodged the gunfire from the AK and then Rick indifferently discarded the weapon, why not, after all, he has plenty of weapons to spare, right? The restless zombies burn like well-dried hay (even better), but the positive moment was when Rick finally found his axe (yes, the one he always carries on his belt, you old fogey). So a big applause for Rick, but what was the meaning of that bizarre scene with the van? Was that for real? ()

Do Not Send Us Astray (2018) (S08E13)

English I have to admit that there was more happening in the thirteenth episode than in three episodes combined, but that's where my satisfaction also ended. Morgan returned to his favorite hallucinations after some time, and I still don't know why every black character in the series has to be an annoying idiot (Morgan, Gabriel, Ezekiel). The defensive tactic really got to me, in which the enemy is let in without a fight behind the walls. The commander who issues such an order should be rewarded with bullets (from his own ranks). ()

Still Gotta Mean Something (2018) (S08E14) Boo!

English It's really unbearable now! Annoying Carl hasn't even cooled down yet and he has already been replaced by stupid idiot Henry. While in the previous episode Morgan was just hallucinating, this time he added numbing conversations with Aunt Carol, and that stupidity in the former bar was no longer even funnily unbelievable. Misfortune. ()

Worth (2018) (S08E15)

English If it wasn't for the additional "last" words of Carol and Gabriel's regular theological-philosophical window, I might have even reached for the third star because I quite enjoyed Simon's attempt at a coup. Nevertheless, I was still undecided, but then Aaron delivered his selfless speech and I had clarity. ()

Wrath (2018) (S08E16)

English I don't know where this sudden optimism came from in me, but I kept hoping that the final episode of the desperate eighth season would turn out well. Not in the slightest. Morgan continued to dig, and he also spoke, Siddiq told a touching story, and the idyllic ending disgusted me. I have seen some movies and documentaries where Molotov cocktails were used, I even managed to make one with satisfactory results, but I had no idea of the amazing effects that could be achieved with fish oil. Bravo. ()
