Deus ex Machina

A short film shot in the style of Jean-Pierre Jeunet, thus as a grotesque poetic plaything about a photo booth that hides a photographer inside instead of technology, whose fate is to observe customers and capture their faces and life situations. It's one of those films where the plot is completely insignificant, and the crucial aspects are playfulness, style, and atmosphere. It almost seems like Jeunet was inspired by this film when he was preparing Amelie. Overall impression: 95%. (24/11/2009)
