Billy Madison (Adam Sandler) has an easy life as heir to his millionaire father's hotel empire, until his dad decides to turn over the company to vice president Eric Gordon. Billy bets his father that if he goes back to school he can attain grades 1 to 12 in 24 weeks. No mean feat, as Billy has spent the ten years since he left high school lazing by the pool and chasing women. When he falls for his new teacher, however, he attends to his studies with renewed vigour. (Universal Pictures UK)

English I was quite curious about this first commercially successful film of Adam Sandler because I hadn't seen it before. And I must say, it entertained me. There are things about Sandler that people can't stand, but there is also a humor that just works for me in his performance. As an adult, it works even better for me, but this silliness is also fine. He actually keeps goofing around all the time. ()
