TACHO, Mirjam Landa's black comedy, narrates about a successful rally driver and a race of his life. Alex can't imagine his life without rally and all his life oscillates around it. After an accident, during which his co-driver is severely hurt, Alex's manager is desperately looking for a substitution – the most important race of the season is approaching quickly. Alex insists on participating despite his doctor's ban. He's been racing for fifteen years, the top position always eluding him, though. He meets a girl of his life and makes a surprising decision: she, Lucie, will be his co-driver in the season's race, totally inexperienced, but the more determined to win. Alex's greatest opponent, German driver Weber, sees himself dominate the race. Slovak adventurer Jozo with his new co-driver Julo, whom he saved from the Mob's claws, dream their victory dreams, too. English racers Charlie and Dave are at full training as well, but in a completely different discipline than rally... Is the dramatic race going to see its winner at all? Every moment in life counts... (official distributor synopsis)

English I'll always be a fan of the Landas. If only for their passion and effort. The script was unrefined, but I hadn't expected anything different. The magic of 2LANDA films lies elsewhere. The film would certainly have a much higher rating if people weren't throwing boo around just because Dan has a bald head. But then I don't understand why they're looking at the bald head… Tacho is slightly worse than Kvaska in terms of quality. The English here seemed tooootally pointless. And the film could have been a lot more "heartfelt" if it had gone more in depth with the relationship between Alex and Lucka. I agree with Enspiegel's review to the greatest possible extent. For me, 3.5 stars. ()
